Haiku is a three-line-poem. It is a very popular genre of the Japanese literature. It invites everybody to write in his/her own langage.
"Haiku happen all the time, wherever there are people who are 'in touch' with the world of their senses, and with their own feeling respond to it." (Bill Higginson) Here is a haiku, probably best known in the history. Furuike ya kawaze tobikomu mizu no oto (Matsuo Basho, 1944-1994)
